Laney has worked as a host, correspondent and producer at CBS, Warner Bros. Extra, TV Guide Network, and E! Entertainment News.
As an actress she has appeared in indie films – Never Met Picasso, Psychic Murders and most recently The Bag Lady Diaries. On television she’s acted on The Practice, Days Of Our Lives and Code Red. On stage she has performed at Vienna’s Volkstheater in The Three Sisters and in Dublin at The Abbey Theatre’s workshop production of Under Milkwood.
On radio Laney has worked as a morning show co-host, news anchor, writer, producer and entertainment reporter – reviewing film, television and theatre at WODS-CBS, WZOU, WSSH and WKOX in Boston. She even did a stint as a helicopter traffic reporter for WVBF and Metro Traffic.
As a comic Laney performs regularly at the The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Ha Ha Cafe’ in Los Angeles.
Laney’s personal expertise on several topics has allowed her to address live audiences as a motivational speaker. Topics include managing breast cancer with grace and a sense of humor, codependency and grieving the loss of a loved one.
She has spoken on behalf of The American Cancer Society, and speaks regularly to medical students at USC and UCLA for OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center.
Laney holds a Master’s Degree from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
